    RJ45 Surge Protection Device

    RJ45-SPD Class EA

    RJ45 Surge Protection Device.01

Structured cabling with RJ45 connecting hardware is a vital part of today‘s telecommunication. 100 % uptime is mandatory for seamless data transmission with data rates up to 10 Gigabits per second. However, galvanic, inductive and capacitive coupling as well as potential differences may cause enormous problems and hazards for any electronics connected to such a network.

To protect the electronic equipment, an appropriate RJ45 surge protection with proper grounding has to be implemented in the cabling link. Telegärtner‘s RJ45-SPD surge protection meets or exceeds the requirements for class EA networks for powerful high speed applications including 10 Gigabit Ethernet and PoE/PoE+. Its integrated protection against overbending the contacts ensures that the link will still work even after a RJ11 or RJ12 connector had been plugged in.
